Head of External Relations
My career is deeply rooted in humanitarian and development aid. Most recently, I have served the Rohingya refugee crisis in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh as the Head of External Relations for BRAC. I piloted a project for World Food Program and the Emergency Telecom cluster on Services 4 Communities. This was the first feedback mechanism that was introduced in the camps, enabling a two-way feedback system using an app. With advocacy efforts we are now successfully using it and serving thousands. A deep interest for working with Child Protection and Gender Based Violence survivors during crises drive me. Besides the Rohingya refugee crisis, I have worked in humanitarian aid services for the Internally displaced population in Northeast Nigeria. I have 10+ years of experience in aid communications, campaigns and advocacy for the underserved. I have also been a columnist and write for various platforms such as the Huffington Post. I will be happy to talk to people about advocacy, campaigns communications, using technology to provide services for affected communities during crises and ensuring access to information.
