Geoff is a final year PhD candidate in the department of linguistics, splitting his time between research, teaching and consulting. His research focuses on interpreting neural network models of language and extending natural language processing (NLP) methods to non-English languages. Geoff teaches Python, NLP and data science at D-Lab. Also through D-Lab, Geoff offers free consulting on NLP and Python to UC Berkeley's community.
