Innovation for Sustainable Development and Climate Change: Blockchain and Innovation PPPs
Biography
A former Canadian Diplomat, Katherine Foster focused on International Trade, Climate Change and Human Security for nearly a decade before turning to building innovation for social impact out of Switzerland in 2004. Later, as Development Lead for the European Union’s innovation program Climate-KIC, she spearheaded partnerships and programs on climate innovation which has, to date, accelerated 900 startups including 13 nominees for Forbes 30 Under 30. Katherine became an advisor to the UNDP Accelerate 2030, Executive Director of Blockchain Labs for Open Collaboration (BLOC) and in 2017, Director at FinTech4Good. She is currently leading the Blockchain and Carbon Markets framework and pilots at the World Bank.
