I am Ibaloi -Igorot from the Cordillera, Philippines and work as
Senior Policy Advisor, Forest Peoples Programme (UK). I've been an
active campaigner and advocate over the past 35 years on indigenous peoples human rights at community, national and international levels. Current focus of work is supporting community-based monitoring and information systems as tools for local governance, including mapping and monitoring the state of indigenous peoples lands, territories and resources and tracking implementation of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Was co-editor of Local Biodiversity Outlooks: Indigenous Peoples’ and Local Communities’ Contributions to the Implementation of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity (www.localbiodiversityoutlooks.net).
