As Global Connectivity Manager, Mercy Corps Technology for Development department (T4D), my responsibility is to deliver sustainable, secure Wi-Fi networks to high-density environments in different regions of the world. Since 2016 I've been heavily engaged in Syrian response crisis in Greece and Balkans, delivering sustainable internet access to more than 200.000 people.
As of 2018, the scope of work expanded to Italy to support refugees arriving from Africa countries.
In April 2018, I had the privilege of deploying first round of WiFi networks in North Uganda (BidiBidi, Yumbe, Rhino, Imvepi), with NetHope, as the key partner for USAID initiative in connecting rural Uganda.
My team of ICT engineers is currently in charge of setting up and managing sustainable internet connectivity access to refugees and beneficiaries in Greece, Serbia, Italy, Uganda, Puerto Rico.
