Ali will briefly recount aspects of the events transpiring during the Istanbul10 ordeal from various vantage points, engaging the participants for input and reflections about inevitable crises when HRDs strive to keep their civic space open. We start with a short timeline of events, then rotate through highlights of the following:

1. Response: The challenges of coordinating a cohesive response to an HRD in crisis.
2. Resistance: What to do to survive (and thrive) while being incarcerated
3. Recovery: What it takes to build resilience through and after a traumatic experience Followed by Q/A and closing.
