British Telecommunications plc is a global communications service provider. Our main consumer facing business is in the UK.

This session will discuss BT's role, in the UK, in responding to investigatory powers requests from public authorities to access our information. In recent years the UK has updated its investigatory powers laws and there are a number of ongoing legal challenges.

We will explore the key issues of privacy, protection of personal data and security and outline how we approach these questions in our UK business.

We will also discuss who our key stakeholders are, as we frame and discuss these issues
