On the Shoulders of Giants: Empowering the Next Generation of Digital Citizens

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Take part in an active discussion on how connectivity can be harnessed better to enable digital participation and civic engagement from a full range of stakeholders, including children and others whose voices are not yet being sufficiently heard.
Our speakers, who bring different experiences of encouraging civic engagement, will be our discussion ‘firestarters’, and all session participants are invited to share how their experiences correlate and differ in terms of both issues and successes.
As a group, we will document the barriers which may be holding back participation from under-represented groups, including young people, and map these to potential solutions and stakeholder groups, looking for ways to remove obstacles and encourage wider participation moving forwards.
