Some internet freedom fighters cannot access the Access Now conference, because they cannot travel due to war. The Access No_! session features nine front line digital safety activists from Syria, who are under siege, trapped in conflict cantons, or persecuted by permits. Through short video blogs, these excluded digital/social activists tell us why internet access matters so much in the midst of war, and the special ICT challenges they face, from inaccessible legal software through to Facebook prison. We hope to stimulate constructive engagement on how the broader internet freedom community can do more to help.
