Protecting Digital Rights at the City Level: A Unified Agenda

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this roundtable session, Mozilla Foundation will convene human rights experts, technologists and city leaders from around the world to inform a unified agenda for protecting digital rights in cities. The primary outcome will be a unified digital rights agenda that a range of cities can apply to local needs. This session will be the culmination of a series of engagements that include the international adoption of the Global Cities Digital Rights Agreement (title to be determined) led by the City of New York. Using a round-robin approach with space for brief peer pair shares and large group synthesis, participants will:

* Review priorities of attending cities in the field of digital rights
* Identify pain points / challenges for cities related to digital rights
* Create and prioritize strategies, tactics, and policy recommendations to inform: 1) a unified agenda draft, available for open comment during RightsCon, and 2) a publicly available report published by the City of New York in 2018
