Ms. Donna Scheeder was President , 2015-2017of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), the global voice of libraries. She has held a number of increasingly responsible positions at the Library of Congress including Director of Law Library Services and Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Congressional Research Service and has extensive experience of working in the US and international library fields, especially relating to library services that serve parliaments. During the post-2015 negotiations on the Sustainable Development Goals she has been IFLA’s Head of Delegation to the UN in New York. She is a member of both the Special Libraries Association, (SLA) and the American Library Association. She served as Treasurer and President of SLA and is a recipient of the John Cotton Dana award for outstanding contributions to the field of special librarianship. She is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
